About Britannia Hotels St Hilary
Brittania Hotels started its operations in 1976 upon the purchase of the Brittania Country House Hotel in Didsbury, Manchester. The founder and largest shareholder of the group is still Alex Langsam. His net personal worth is calculated at $114,273,000.00 in 2013. The group grew mainly by acquisitions after acquisitions. Their second purchase in 1981 which was of the former Watts Warehouse provided a standard for their type of establishments in the following years to come. Their talent for restoration and conversion of old buildings was a skill no other brand could possibly match. In 1987, they converted an unused building in Manchester that has been the city’s C&A department store. They turned it into the Sachas Hotel. From 1992 until the following 10 years, the group has acquired over 16 more hotels in different locations in the United Kingdom.
In 2004, they made their biggest acquisition of 4 hotels from the Grand Leisure Group. In 2011, the company was still determined to purchase existing labels so they bought North West holiday camp business with a $23,490,190.00 lock-in deal. Despite the challenges that came with these milestones, Brittania still enjoyed the period of 2005-2015 as its fastest expansion as they took over 23 hotels in that decade. Until now, the group continues to extend their operations, making their revenue definitely more than their 2011 record of $70,396,780,800.00
