Fiesta Inn was established with a focus on traveler orientation in 1982 by Grupo Mexican group, Posadas. Grupo Posadas SAB de CV or Posadas is a Mexico City-based hotel company that has an expertise for operating and managing villas, resorts, and hotels. The dedication of the company in the hospitality service extends to their acquisition of the Mexicana de Aviacion—Mexico’s 2nd largest airline—in 2005. Fiesta Inn business class hotels are one of the 110 hotels and resorts in the group’s portfolio. The brand has been recognized for their topnotch performance by the government and independent organizations.
In 2009, Celaya Fiesta Inn was given the Distintivo H award by the Mexican Federal Secretariat of Tourism. The Fiesta Inn in the State of Queretaro also received the same award a year later. Online rates for the hotel are also high. It was TripAdvisor’s leading hotel in Mexicali. In 2012, the Fiesta Inn in Mexico City experienced damages from the protests against the Mexico’s new president’s inauguration. 2012 wasn’t completely a bad year for the hotel chain. A few weeks before the year ended, Standard & Poor’s Rating Services raised the rating of the parent company of the inn to “B”. This recognition was a direct acknowledgment of Fiesta Inn’s success in Mexico.
