About Peel Hotels Knottingley
Peel Hotels is a chain of hotel established in 1998 by Robert Peel. It all started when he bought the Bull Hotel in Peterborough. Since that purchase, the company has acquired more famous hotels like the Midland Railway Hotel in Bradford and the King Malcolm Hotel in Dunfermline. Not so long ago, the company made a lease agreement for the Clermont Leisure, owners of the prestigious Clermont Club Casino in London. This is so that they could open a casino in the basement of the Midland Hotel. That was them taking advantage of the Gambling Act 2005, which permitted new casino-hotels to operate. The new hotel was named the Guoman Club. It is the third casino in the city.
Peel Hotels has reported £15.9million worth of revenue in 2007. Their constant improvements in their existing hotels gave way to that success. The lease they made was even backed by the new Westfield Shopping Centre built adjacent to it so the value of their property just grew even more. That is even only for that one particular establishment, and the rest of their properties are also strategically located near centers and other commercial spaces that add value and marketing for their company.
